THIS BOOK is AMAZING!MY MUST READ RECOMMENDATION OF THE YEAR! What a writer! Captivating, Intriguing, Suspenseful, Passionate, Witty and the BOMB! Hunter's Moon- The Witches of Ashford Place is well written beyond my wildest dreams. Sheri Micinnis deserves accolades for this incredible book. I am waiting with serious anticipation for Book II. SHE HAD ME RIVETED UNTIL THE VERY LAST LINE!
The elements of mystery surrounding the women and the secrets of Ashford Place gradually unfold, giving the reader something to bite into-with perfectly placed clues that entice the reader into the next chapter..and the next. The characters each have their own unique appeal and the visual imagery is intense! I could not say enough about this writer!
The chapter lengths were great- not too lengthy, providing the reader an opportunity to gather more of what they crave without having to wade through extensive dialogues or unnecessary pros.
The author dedicated herself to research on the cultural elements of ancient witchcraft which added depth to the dynamics of the story line. Sheri Mcinnis included thoughtful symbolism and unique historical elements about the cities in the story. She will gain many a loyal fan from this series and I believe she is on her way to HUGE THINGS with this series! Loved it!

This was one of the more entertaining books I’ve read. I have to admit, this book caught me a little by surprise. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but it seems more like a mystery to me as we follow Grace as strange occurrences from disappearing items, strange dreams, and murder helps her to learn about herself and her family history.
While the characters are engaging, there were times I wondered about Grace. While she and the other characters are well written, I’m amazed at her lack of curiosity throughout most of the book. I’m an extremely curious person, so it’s hard to understand her reasoning. It’s only fair to say I’ve known people like her, so this is more my personal taste than anything else, but I think it’s awesome that the main character hit so close to home.
The story itself is well written and fast paced. It’s hard to find an excuse to put it down even at chapter breaks. It’s a nice blend of the current trend of witch and magic stories with a few twists that keep it engaging and fun. It’s unfair it ended so soon, and I can’t wait for the next book.
I vote for this to be the next HBO series like "House of Cards." The plot is intricate, the characters complex and the storytelling superb! The Witches of Ashford Place is a book you just cannot put down. I have a limited time in my schedule to read, but I made more so I could read this book. The author is so descriptive that you can visualize every character, and every scene. Ms. McInnis is destine to be a powerhouse of a writer in this genre. If I was an agent, I would pick this up and push it for a screen play for TV. It would fit right into the current viewing public's desires. It has suspense, action, and some really steamy bedroom scenes to keep everyone in the audience coming back for more. I know I will be reading the sequel when it comes out.
I was blown away by The Witches of Ashford Place- a brilliantly written, character driven novel full of surprises and unpredictable scenes. The story is hypnotic and at times horrifying as Grace Walker gets closer to the truth of her true existence. The paranormal aspects seem plausible or will at least have a reader believing in the possibilities of ancient and modern witches, and that's to the credit of Ms. McInnis who flawlessly weaves what is normal day to day life with the paranormal. This book will lift a reader up from her seat and have her twirling round and round through the air in wonder as she whispers... Ana'laish.
The story is told in the first person narrative and the author's unique voice and powerful storytelling shines. I hate to even use the word "storytelling" because Ms. McInnis's writing is brilliant, and she is a master at the writing technique of "show, don't tell". The mystery, suspense, romance and deliciously passionate scenes are intriguing and captivating. I was swept up in the Witches of Ashford Place and can't wait to read the next book in the Hunter's Moon series.
